Facebook has rolled out a revamp profile feature called Timeline that makes a user’s entire history of photos, links and other things ever shared on Facebook accessible through the timelines Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and chief executive of Facebook, described it as a way to get a more comprehensive portrait of someone than by simply reading updates or looking at a profile picture. Right now I can’t say whether it’s a good step or not which help tell the story of your life. The old Facebook profile page shows the most recent items users have posted, along with things like photos of them posted by others. But it seems Timeline creates a scrapbook like medley, assembling photos, links and updates for each month and year since they signed up for Facebook. Facebook made his analy read more...

Pay per click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, where advertisers pay the hosting service when the ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system. Many people approach SEO and PPC as completely separate strategies. And while they are different in many ways, it can be helpful to think of SEO and PPC as being two sides of the same coin: search. Google pushed out its G+ iPhone app today a little bit too fast. It was buggy, crashed, and kept spinning in circles. In fact, it was so buggy that Google has already pushed out an update, which is the fastest update to an iPhone app I’ve ever seen. Google+ Mobile product manager Punit Soni says that the first app was actually a test version that was released by mistake, and thenew update should fix many of the stability issues. So if you have already downloaded the app, delete it and get the update. I downloaded the buggy version and found many of the same issues Robert Scoble complained about (it crashed, kept logging me out, froze, etc). After downloading the update, I couldn’t sign in until I powered down my iPhone and started again. read more...

Static URLs or Dynamic URLs It is well known that there are two types of URLs: Dynamic URLs andStatic URLs. A Dynamic URL is a page address that results from the search of a database-driven web site or the URL of a web site that runs scripts; Dynamic URLs are generated from specific queries to a site's database. The dynamic page is basically only a template in which to display the results of the database query. Instead of changing information in the HTML code, the data is changed in the database. In contrast, in Static URLs, the contents of the web page stay the same unless the changes are hard-coded into the HTML. Websites that utilize databases which can insert content into a webpage by way of a dynamic script like PHP or JavaScript are increasingly popular. This type of site read more...
